Mehlville engine companies 1722, 1770, 1760, 1710, Squad 1756, and LSV 1727 were dispatched to a first alarm garage fire in the 5600 block of Heintz Road. Upon arrival 1722 reported a "...detached garage well involved with extension to the house, pulling 2 jiffies." The alarm was brought under control in about 30 minutes.
While extinguishing this fire, at approximately 06:40 Mehlville companies 1742, 1730, 1750, Lemay 1614, Rock Community 7115, and Mehlville LSV 1747 were dispatched to a first alarm, smoke in an apartment, in the 5000 block of Clayridge Drive. Companies 1770 and Squad 1756 also responded. Upon arrival 1742 reported smoke in the hallway and a working fire in an apartment. The fire was quickly extinguished.
